The 5 Best styles to keep your beard groomed

Here are some of our favorite beard styles and how you can maintain them to look the best they could be. It's up to you to decide which is best for you, so we recommend taking a look at some of our pictures and then trying them out for yourself.

Here are some timeless styles that you can try now:

Full Beard

This is one of the most common styles you've likely seen, which looks fantastic but comes with great responsibility! Remember to not let your beard grow out of control - you need to maintain it and treat it more than other hair on your body. You need to shampoo it, comb it, and untangle stubborn strands.

Balbo

The name won't ring a bell, but the style may (we've added a picture of Robert Downey Jr. for your reference). This style is particularly great for those with narrow chins. First you need to grow your beard for 4 weeks before styling, and consists of shaven patches of hair under your lip (around your soul patch), and shaven off long sideburns - generally never past the middle of your ear. TIPS COMING SOON.

Stubble

This is one of the most common and most desired styles. Its a nice balance of beard and no beard that has a clean look when well maintained. Remember to always keep your beard clean even when you grow your stubble. TIPS

Mustache

A good mustache will stay with your for a solid amount of time and will give you something to style in many different ways. Regardless you want your beard to be long or short, it requires some time to maintain (yes the trend of maintenance is no joke). Throughout the process keep the mustache wax close. TIPS

Chinstrap

Before pursuing this style remember you must have the ability to grow a full beard, and for the width of your chinstrap - the rounder your face is the thicker. We recommend starting wide and then shortening it carefully to find your perfect touch.

Bottom Line Is: Whichever style you choose will be perceived by your cleanliness. As soon as you notice there is hair growing in the wrong areas - shave it!

Grooming tricks every man should know!

Believe it or not, there are better ways of using some of your favorite products! We've compiled a few of them here for you to try at home. Here are some awesome tricks we use all the time:

Cologne - Extend the scent of your fragrance by storing them in a cool place - away from sunlight. This will expand the quality for longer, maximizing that amazing scent.

Shaving Cream - Next time you need to shave, use just a small dollop worth (size of a dollar coin). Work it into your hands and add some warm water before working it into a lather. You'll notice that it becomes a lighter foam, great for close easy shaves. They'll last longer that way as well!

Razors - Keep your razor stored in a small glass in a dry atmosphere facing up. Never store your razors in the shower facedown. Moisture will full your blade and bacteria may form that could infect your face.

Tips you need for the perfect stubble

Facial hair is in, and those doing it right can probably tell you about the compliments they receive since maintaining their beard. You may feel you dont have the full package, however we're happy to tell you even your stubble will do the trick!

That's because the goal of your beard should be to show your maturity and assertiveness, however that stubble will go longer than you may think. Here is your guide to having that perfect amount of stubble:

Step 1 - Use a adjustable beard trimmer with a built-in guard and lower it all the way back (also known as No. 1 length)

Step 2 - Trim your hair until a even level of consistency is achieved. This may require multiple passes.

Step 3 - Maintain your mustache with a trimmer end or scissors removing messy strain hairs.

Step 4 - Shave (trim first without guard if beard is lengthy) any hair on top of your adam's apple. Its a good habit to not go too close to your jawline as that will look overly thin.

Step 5 - Lastly trim off any hair on your cheeks followed by a clean shave remove signs of growth. Use your preferred discretion to straighten to your desire, remember to again not to decrease beard line.

Additional Tips:

  • Repeat this process as soon as your hair grows beyond desire (likely 1-3 days)
  • Remember that like cutting hair the details matter so although it may take a few attempts to get used to your favorite length, keep the lining in mind.
  • Running your finger through your beard may be useful to check for consistency

STEP 1 - Follow A Skin-Care Regimen ~ Remember to be consistent with your skin-care routine and consider a monthly facial treatment to improve circulation. This will maintain a great look both short and long term. Check out our tips to washing the skin properly.

STEP 2 - Perfect Your Hairstyle ~ This is something you may need to test a bit to nail your style, remember to have a quality barber work with you to get it right. Our barbers are experienced and eager to get you the look that fits you.

STEP 3 - Maintain Your Natural Hair Color ~ Before you invest in a hair coloring product consider Match.com's new study that showed the majority of women prefer grey hair.

STEP 4 - Use Eye Cream Daily ~ As you age you cant prevent baggy eyes, but of course you can help them by using eye cream daily.

STEP 5 - Control The Body Hair ~ Women love your chest hair, however they prefer a maintained minimum amount.

How to trim your sideburn

Sideburns are what often make a great haircut look shaggy after a few weeks. Heres how you can clean-up your sideburn whenever you feel needed:

STEP 1 ~ Adjust your clippers to three eighths of an inch.

STEP 2 ~ Trim from bottom up, and adjust length to your preference.

STEP 3 ~ Remove the guard and trim around your ear (be cautious as you want to cut the least possible amount).

STEP 4 ~ Now set your clipper to two and more closely trim the bottom half your your sideburn. Skip this step if you dont want a fade effect - short on bottom and longer gradually on top.

STEP 5 ~ Lastly wet your sideburn and adjust your desired straight line on the bottom of the sideburn, we love to keep it around mid-ear. Remember the thickness of your sideburn should match that of your haircut.

Sideburns can make or break a great cut.
